How Purpose Connect came to be
Every company starts with a problem worth solving. Ours started with a person — and a system that was failing her.
- 2021
Discovering the Problem
After immigrating to the U.S. through the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, Founder & CEO Racheal Dami Odunewu began helping immigrants and international students find employment. She discovered that many employers misunderstood work authorization, creating unnecessary barriers for qualified international talent.
- 2022
Building & Validating
While building the immigration-aware hiring platform, the team spent two years validating the problem and refining the solution alongside employers, universities, immigration attorneys, and international talent.
- 2023
Launching Purpose Connect
Purpose Connect officially launched to simplify international hiring by connecting employers, universities, international talent, and immigration professionals through one immigration-aware workforce platform.
