The Services are provided by Purpose Connect (“Purpose Connect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, purchasing a subscription or service, or otherwise using Purpose Connect, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Services.
1. Purpose Connect Services
Purpose Connect is an immigration-aware workforce technology platform designed to help connect international students and professionals, employers, universities, career experts, and immigration attorneys.
Depending on the user and subscription or partnership selected, Services may include:
- career-development tools;
- AI-powered career tools;
- professional profiles;
- employment opportunity discovery and matching;
- employer talent-search and workforce tools;
- work-authorization-related educational information;
- university dashboards and student-support tools;
- career-expert services;
- access or referrals to independent immigration attorneys;
- scheduling and communication tools;
- workforce-support services; and
- other related features made available through the platform.
Features may vary by account type, subscription, institution, employer agreement, location, and availability.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate and current information when creating or maintaining a Purpose Connect account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
You agree to promptly notify Purpose Connect if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization.
You may not impersonate another person, create an account using false information, or use another person's account without authorization.
3. Students and Professionals
Purpose Connect provides tools intended to support career development, employment discovery, professional readiness, and navigation of the U.S. workforce.
Purpose Connect does not guarantee:
- employment;
- interviews;
- job offers;
- employer sponsorship;
- visa approval;
- work authorization;
- immigration benefits; or
- any particular career or immigration outcome.
Employment decisions remain solely with employers.
Immigration decisions and employment-authorization determinations are governed by applicable law and the appropriate government authorities.
Users remain responsible for understanding and maintaining their own immigration status and employment authorization.
4. Employers
Employers using Purpose Connect are responsible for their own recruiting, interviewing, hiring, employment, compensation, onboarding, immigration-compliance, and workforce decisions.
Purpose Connect may provide information designed to help employers better understand international talent and common work-authorization pathways. Such information is educational and informational and is not a substitute for legal advice.
Employers are responsible for complying with all applicable employment, labor, immigration, nondiscrimination, privacy, and other laws.
Purpose Connect does not guarantee the qualifications, performance, immigration eligibility, work authorization, or continued availability of any candidate.
5. Universities and Institutional Partners
Universities and other institutional partners may provide students with access to Purpose Connect under separate agreements.
Institutional access, available features, student eligibility, data access, reporting, implementation, and subscription terms may vary according to the applicable institutional agreement.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a separately executed institutional agreement, the executed agreement will govern to the extent of the conflict.
6. Immigration Information and No Legal Advice
Purpose Connect is not a law firm.
Unless expressly provided by an independently licensed attorney through the platform, information available through Purpose Connect regarding immigration, visas, CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, work authorization, sponsorship, employment eligibility, or related topics is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
Such information does not constitute legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship with Purpose Connect.
Immigration laws, regulations, policies, and government practices can change. Users should consult a qualified immigration attorney or appropriate government authority regarding their specific circumstances.
7. Independent Attorneys and Other Experts
Purpose Connect may facilitate access to independent attorneys, career experts, consultants, or other professionals.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, these professionals are independent service providers and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Purpose Connect.
Any attorney-client relationship is solely between the user and the attorney and is subject to the attorney's own engagement terms, professional responsibilities, and applicable law.
Purpose Connect does not direct or control independent legal advice.
8. Artificial Intelligence Features
Certain Purpose Connect features may use artificial intelligence or automated technologies to assist with activities such as profile development, career preparation, matching, interview preparation, recommendations, or informational support.
AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or incomplete information.
Users should review AI-generated information before relying upon or submitting it to employers, universities, government agencies, attorneys, or other third parties.
AI-generated information should not be treated as legal advice, immigration advice, or a guarantee of any employment or immigration outcome.
Purpose Connect may modify, improve, replace, or discontinue AI functionality as the platform evolves.
9. Matching and Recommendations
Purpose Connect may use information provided by users and employers to identify potential employment matches, opportunities, resources, or recommendations.
A match or recommendation does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee of compatibility, job offer, employment relationship, or representation that a candidate meets all legal or professional requirements for a position.
Users and employers are responsible for conducting their own due diligence.
10. Payments, Subscriptions, and Billing
Certain Services require payment.
Pricing, billing frequency, included features, and subscription terms are displayed during purchase or contained in a separate agreement.
Purpose Connect may offer monthly, quarterly, annual, one-time, institution-sponsored, or other billing arrangements depending on the Service.
By purchasing a paid Service, you authorize Purpose Connect and its payment processors to charge the applicable fees and taxes.
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable purchase terms or agreement, fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Subscription cancellation affects future renewals and does not automatically create a refund for previously paid periods.
11. Third-Party Services and Integrations
Purpose Connect may integrate with or link to third-party services, including payment processors, scheduling providers, communication tools, analytics providers, artificial intelligence providers, university systems, and other technology services.
Purpose Connect does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their independent availability, security practices, content, or terms.
Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
12. Acceptable Use
You may not use Purpose Connect to:
- violate applicable law;
- discriminate unlawfully against candidates or users;
- provide false or misleading information;
- impersonate another person or organization;
- interfere with the security or operation of the Services;
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- upload malicious software;
- scrape, copy, or systematically extract platform data without permission;
- use platform information for spam or unauthorized solicitation;
- misuse confidential or personal information; or
- use the Services for fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful purposes.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
13. User Content
Users may submit profiles, resumes, employment information, documents, questions, messages, job postings, and other content through Purpose Connect.
You retain ownership of content you submit.
You grant Purpose Connect a limited license to host, process, reproduce, display, transmit, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, operate, and improve the Services, subject to our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit information you provide to Purpose Connect.
14. Intellectual Property
Purpose Connect and its associated software, branding, design, content, technology, workflows, trademarks, logos, and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Purpose Connect and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except as expressly permitted, you may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Purpose Connect's proprietary materials or technology.
15. Privacy
Our collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
By using Purpose Connect, you acknowledge the practices described in that policy.
16. Platform Availability and Changes
We work to maintain reliable Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Purpose Connect may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, or replace features when reasonably necessary for security, compliance, product development, maintenance, or business operations.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Purpose Connect does not warrant that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or suitable for every user's particular circumstances.
Nothing in the Services constitutes a guarantee of employment, immigration status, work authorization, sponsorship, university outcomes, or legal outcomes.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Purpose Connect will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services.
Purpose Connect is not responsible for employment decisions, immigration determinations, legal advice provided by independent attorneys, user-provided information, or actions of third-party services.
Any additional limitations applicable to institutional or employer customers may be contained in their respective agreements.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Purpose Connect and its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, violation of applicable law, or infringement of another person's rights.
20. Suspension and Termination
You may discontinue using Purpose Connect at any time, subject to applicable subscription or contractual obligations.
Purpose Connect may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of:
- violation of these Terms;
- fraudulent or unlawful activity;
- security concerns;
- nonpayment;
- misuse of the platform; or
- conduct that may harm Purpose Connect or its users.
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Any dispute-resolution provisions contained in a separately executed agreement will control for parties subject to that agreement.
22. Changes to These Terms
Purpose Connect may update these Terms as the Services, laws, or business practices evolve.
When material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law.
Continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
